STATE OF QATAR AWARDS A SCHOLARSHIP FROM QATAR FOUNDATION TO SALVADORAN STUDENT

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in El Salvador awarded a scholarship from the Qatar Foundation to the young Salvadoran student, Aida Masferrer, from Usulután, who will study at Georgetown University, Qatar.
Present at the official handover ceremony of the scholarship were the First Lady of El Salvador, Gabriela de Bukele, the Charge d'Affaires of the State of Qatar in El Salvador, Tariq Al-Othman Fakhroo and the Minister of Education of El Salvador, Carla Hananía.

The scholarship valued at over $ 50,000.00 is part of the concerted cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of El Salvador during the First Lady, Gabriela de Bukele's visit to Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, in Qatar on December 2019.
The arrangement of the scholarship was carried out through the Office of the First Lady of the Republic of El Salvador, in coordination with the Embassy of the State of Qatar in El Salvador. The Management of Technical and Technological Education and the National Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of El Salvador, were in charge of making the call for the scholarship process.
Through this awarded scholarship, the State of Qatar reaffirms its commitment to the friendly people of El Salvador in supporting development between both nations through educational programs that promote the long-term social, cultural and economic development of its people.
