The State of Qatar and the Republic of Nicaragua signed an open skies air transport agreement, allowing the National Carrier to operate any number of passenger and cargo flights, with full traffic rights. The Agreement was signed by HE, Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al-Subaey, QCAA Chairman, on behalf of the State of Qatar; and HE Mr. Carlos Salazar Sanchez, Nicaraguan CAA Director General.

The signing of this agreement, on the margins of the participation of the Qatar delegation in ICAO Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Global Summit, hosted in Montreal Canada.
