DELIVERY OF MEDICAL AND PROTECTIVE SUPPLIES TO FRONT LINE PERSONNEL OF CRIMINAL CENTERS, IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE HEALTH CRISIS CAUSED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in El Salvador, in the face of the emergency that the country is experiencing due to the global health crisis caused by COVID-19, expresses its solidarity with the Salvadoran people and all those people who suffer the direct consequences of the pandemic.
The Embassy of the State of Qatar is pleased to report that a donation of protective equipment for the personnel who work inside the Penal Centers of El Salvador was granted yesterday, in coordination with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The donation was provided within the framework of the Global Program for the implementation of the Doha Declaration.
The donation consists of a thousand KN95 masks, three thousand surgical masks, thirty-five boxes of gloves, one a hundred protective suits and one hundred gallons of alcohol gel, with which it is expected to benefit employees of Penal Centers, who in the exercise of their functions they are exposed to contagion.
This is one of the many efforts that the State of Qatar is making to combat and reduce the effects of the current health crisis around the world, and we hope that this donation will be a support for the people who face the virus with courage and heroism every day.
The Embassy of the State of Qatar in El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting the Salvadoran people through other efforts in the face of the current crisis in the country, trusting that El Salvador will emerge strengthened from the current situation.
